Ambassador to the EU Visits Yellow Pallet's Factory in Siquirres, Costa Rica

The Ambassador to the European Union in Costa Rica, Ms. Maria Antonia Calvo Puerta visited Tarimas de Fibras Agricolas S.A. (TDFA). Such a visit not only confirms her backing of European investments in Costa Rica but more importantly the presence of European innovation in areas of environmental impact. Ambassador Puerta was pleased to learn about this Dutch company's innovative approach to its processing of fibres for the production of shipping pallets. During her visit, the European team had the opportunity to look around the banana plantations from where part of the fibres are sourced as well as the manufacturing facility where the fibres are processed and compressed. After the opening remarks with Elio Machillanda, President of TDFA in Costa Rica, Ambassador Calvo exchanged a very positive feedback and praised Yellow Pallet's positive environmental impact. After that, Susan Hoekstra and Antonio Brenes (General Manager and Plant Manager respectively of TDFA), toured the facilities with the European team.
